Penny For The Workhouse
https://www.facebook.com/PennyForTheWorkhouse Folky Americana good: We call ourselves FOLK'n'ROLL as we talk stories like folk but have a classic 60s twist on the band and heavier than your traditional folk. Kind of Mumford and sons meets fratellis! We go well with indie folk bands and gypsy punk sounding bands but we have quite an original sound and we are very upbeat and dancey!
A good ol' sonic hoedown.
An innovative sound - big melodies, falsetto vocals and harmonies in an alternative band setting. Vibes of Jeff Buckley and Bon Iver.
19-year-old acoustic singer songwriter similar to Frank Turner and Ben Howard.
Harriet Langley explores elements of jazz, blues, soul, rock and classical in her catchy pop set up. Inspired by the likes of The Divine Comedy, Fiona Apple and KT Tunstall, queue powerful vocals and catchy melodies, backed with groovy bass lines and edgy rhythms.
