The hilarious ‘Vicar of Dibley’ will bounce onto the Hippodrome stage in June with all the favourite characters from the original BBC TV series. The play, based on original scripts by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew Archer, has been specially adapted for the stage by Joyce Branagh. Angela Boult will play Geraldine with Georgina Smith as Alice Tinker and Barry Jackson as David Horton. Josh Hindle plays Hugo Horton, Damien Marsh takes on the role of Jim Trott while Orm Green plays Frank Pickle. Ken Horsfield will play Owen Newitt and Andrea Jackson Mrs Cropley. Stevan Manley will make a rare
appearance on stage, relinquishing his usual position in the lighting box to play David’s brother Simon. There is a full supporting cast with some unusual members
you may not expect. ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ is Directed by Fiona Thompson.
Again the Theatre Company stage staff are building a fantastic set so if you can knock in a nail or fancy wielding a paint brush nearer the time please get in touch
with Keith Walton, Fiona Thompson or any member of the committee. Your help would be gratefully appreciated.
