Paul Pfau (rhymes with “wow”) is an award-winning singer-songwriter from the rural hills of western Maryland. His sound is often likened to a fusion between John Mayer and Michael Buble because of his crooning voice and tasteful guitar playing. In 2011 Paul was nominated Best New Artist by the Washington Area Music Association, opened for The Lumineers, and jammed with the Beach Boys. In 2012 he began recording his debut full-length album, Happy To Be, with double-platinum recording engineer Sean Russell (Bruno Mars), which was mixed and mastered by grammy-award-winning engineers Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band) and Brad Blackwood (Maroon 5, Keith Urban, O.A.R). In 2013 Happy To Be won a WAMMIE for Debut Album of the Year. His most recent efforts have gained him national exposure on season eight of NBC’s hit show “The Voice.” Paul auditioned with Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon” which turned the chairs of both Blake Shelton & Pharrell Williams (and almost Adam Levine).
Most bands have dreams of fame and fortune; however MELODIME is not like most bands. Their blend of energetic guitars and pianos play an integral role in their rock sound that is a perfect fit for festivals, college events, and the best live music venues. Not only is their cross-genre alternative rock sound creative, they also operate a charity organization. Their foundation, called Now I Play Along Too, provides music instruments and education to those less fortunate. It’s been said many times that MELODIME is what’s missing in the music industry today – a band that tells stories from the heart; seamlessly blends the musical past with the sounds of the future; and isn’t just performing for the good of their band. They’re on a mission to inspire audiences and make a difference in the world.
JD Eicher & the Goodnights
JD Eicher & the Goodnights’ soaring and graceful pop-rock songcraft has garnered the group favorable comparisons to Coldplay, Keane, The Script, The Killers, and Death Cab for Cutie. The Pittsburgh, PA and Youngstown, OH-based quartet has received an impressive outpouring of regional acclaim, earning raves from Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Uniontown, PA Herald-Standard, Pittsburgh City Paper, and The Erie Times-News. Nationally, Alternative Addiction named them one of the top 10 unsigned bands, Virgin America Airlines used one of the band’s songs in the teaser for the airline’s movie, Departure Date, and Olive Garden used a song in a TV ad campaign.
