Post Alternative Metal band from Lurgan founded in summer 2013.
Collectively, they have a horde of musical influences. From metal, blues, prog to punk and experimental music. This not only evokes some interesting musical discussions, but also has developed a style that is hard to pin down.
They describe themselves as 'alternative metal' and have been likened to bands such as Alice in Chains, Incubus and even Tool.
Their debut EP, 'Paralysis' is set to be released soon. This is a surprisingly varied work which shows our musical interest and, we believe, breaks some of the monotony of most modern heavy music.
Jason Kerr - Vocals
Robbie O'Neill - Guitar
Caolan Derby (Chief) - Bass
Joshua Magee – Drums
Lisburn based four piece with hugely powerful & passionate alternative rock, with a soulful edge and impressive live performance.
Smoking Tongue have a song writing style that has developed into an immediately identifiable sound, with a melodic approach that harks back to the early 90’s Seattle scene. This band likes to tease a listener in with a groove or an ambient chord progression every bit as much as it likes to rip their face off with a great riff.
Ash Irwin: Bass, Vox
Alternative/punk three piece band based in L'Derry, Northern Ireland and formed in 2010.
Lost Avenue have released one acclaimed full length album entitled "When All Else Fails," as well as five EPs including 2012's well received "Ethanol EP."
“Derry rock trio LOST AVENUE impress from the off in new EP ethanol. vocalist Dylan Bradley has a suitably sneering voice that rides over a chunky guitar bass and drum. taking influence from bands such as The Libertines, Arctic monkeys and The Jam. LOST AVENUE have found a fairly distinctive sound and we will be watching them in the near future.”

“Think the Libertines being beaten up by the Ramones whilst UK subs wait at the bar to sort out the winner and you’re kind of there… “

“Recently I was comparing a new bands night in Cornwall and was blown away by a young band called Lost Avenue. The youthful three piece tore it up with firebrand songs that were laced with great melodies. Kinda like a punk rock, rock n roll band - The Undertones but more rock n roll, it was slipshod and thrilling and perfect teenage garage music. This was a band that will be massive.
JOHN ROBB - Journalist, author, stone roses biographer, general punk rock legend
Of the current breed of young Derry bands hoping to break through, none of them seems to share their punk spirit any more than Lost Avenue. Their latest single "Ethanol" owes a great debt to Feargal Sharkey & company, with its tales of being young, in love, and being incredibly inebriated. Could Lost Avenue be the next band from the area to break through?
