The Junk Bar welcomes you to a night of stories and songs with Paddy McHugh and Cameron Milford.
Paddy McHugh is a fearless songwriter whose music is full of grit, determination and blood. His songs are modern day fables about the saints and sinners of Australian society. McHugh's writing sheds a stark light on the dark corners of life in this country. It's an approach that has won him a legion of followers and the highest respect amongst his peers. In 2015 he was the recipient of the Alistair Hulett Memorial Fund 'Songs for Social Justice' award.
Cameron Milford writes songs about bad weather, broken hearts and other natural disasters. He turns observations of ordinary life into compelling reflections on the world around us. In a former life he lived in a caravan in Nashville. During this time he developed a taste for bluegrass, banjos and big choruses. Milford's debut album "Highway Wind" gained critical acclaim across the USA and led to a showcase performance at the 2013 Americana Festival.
