The Langs use their artistic sensibility and archaeological perspective to create artwork from plastic debris that washes up at Point Reyes National Sea Shore. Using these materials, the Langs tell objects' stories while commenting on our throwaway culture.
Featuring a musical performance | 5pm
with Anna Presler (violin) and Leighton Fong (cello) of the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble
Keeping with the theme of re-use and and recycling, two themes are recycled throughout the four movements of this innovative and beautiful Sonata for Violin and Cello (1922), as composer Maurice Ravel engages with the ideal of “depouillement” (economy of means).
