THIS IS NOT A ONE DAY EVENT, but an ongoing fundraiser! I created an event page so that we can communicate about this fundraiser and post the progress as money comes in.
Safe Haven Village is an amazing ministry on the campus of Hope of Life International. They are transforming the orphanage into family-style orphan care and hundreds of lives are being impacted. Every child deserves a chance to have a family and a home to call their own. These amazing families are laying down their lives every day to serve the children of Guatemala.
We can help, in a tangible way! Jesus challenged us in Matthew 10:42, "And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."
What if we give a breeze of cool air? Temperatures in Guatemala are hot, hotter and hottest. In this current season, there is little to no breeze and the temps inside the homes are 100-120 degrees! I cannot imagine! Patience runs thin, heat rashes break out, fatigue sets in.
There are three houses that need AC, each home needs at least three units and each unit is $1,200. Simple math, this breeze of cool air may cost $10,800.
That may sound daunting, but Safe Haven Village has friends all the world and if we all give a little, it will add up! Some can give $10, while others can give $1,000. If you cannot give, just share this invitation with others! (If more comes in than what is needed for the AC units, SHV will put those funds to good use elsewhere!)
ALL GIFTS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE! Our goal will be to raise this money by the end of May, but we will continue the campaign as long as it take! Please give any time between now and then, I will give updates along the way!
TWO WAYS TO GIVE:
