The Government of Mongolia, Mongolian Youth Federation and Asian Youth Council are excited to announce the upcoming XIII Asian Youth Council General Assembly. To be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from the 18-21 May 2015, the Assembly will bring together representatives from civil society, public authorities, industry and research and student institutes to explore and discuss the topic: One Asia 2015: Youth’s Role in the future Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ABOUT THE THEME: As the global community transition from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), significant consideration needs to be given to youth’s role in shaping and achieving these future targets. Despite significant progress in many Asian countries towards achieving the MDGs, significant gaps remain, in particular relating to youth issues. As young people aged between 10-24 years account for 1.8 billion of the world’s population, the input of young people is essential to devising sustainable and targeted measures to foster more inclusive practices of decision-making and deliberation on sustainable development issues. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! Download and submit a registration form today to All assembly costs (excluding travel to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) will be incurred by the event organisers. No fee will be charged for participating in this event. Additional conferences to be held in conjunction with the Assembly: - Youth Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders Conference - North East Asian Conference for Regional Cooperation
