Nature and Geometry play a big part in Early Russian
folk art. We’ll decorate eggs with intricate designs-
(eggs were thought to be a part of ancient ceremonies).
Then we will stitch brightly colored designs inspired by
the ornate embroidery work.
Dates: June 3 & June 10
This class is part of the Art for Homeschoolers series created in partnership with Kelly Lynn Stanton-Nutt and Jen Rothmeyer (Founder of RCIHE).
Come study our world through the eyes of artists and craftsmen throughout time and place! We will introduce young artists to fascinating facts and interesting art based on past cultures from around the world. Travel back in time to learn about day-to-day life and traditions that shaped the art created, and then emulate those skills in your own work. A postcard will be available with quick facts and on-line resources will keep the creative adventure going between classes.
