The Allied invasion of France in Normandy on June 6, 1944 led to the liberation of France and the end of the Nazi regime less than one year later. On this exciting and action packed military history tour you will experience the drama and tension of the Allied buildup and the massive deployment across the English Channel which led to the landing of five American and British Divisions on the beaches of Normandy. Over the course of this tour, our group will visit the historic sites of Omaha and Utah Beaches, Ste Mére Eglise, Pegasus Bridge, Arromanches, Pointe du Hoc, Avranches, and Mortain, and of course the American Cemeteries at Colleville sur Mer and St. James. Our tour also includes the famous Bayeux Tapestry, the abbey of Mont Ste. Michel, and Monet’s garden in Giverny.
