Nail It 4 IDAHOT
Make a stand and NAIL it 4 IDAHOT on 17 May 2016 the International Day Against Homophobia / Transphobia (IDAHOT) As far as we have come with LGBTI rights in this nation, true acceptance is something we must fight for and defend everyday. Humiliation, ridicule, discrimination, homophobic and transphobic violence are committed in every suburb, city and nation against the LGBTI and queer community, everyday. Often for something as trivial as having painted nails. I wear nail polish everyday as my stand against fear of homophobia and transphobia, and I see it as a way to show solidarity for those who can't and shouldn't hide. MAKE A STAND Regardless of who you are, what you do, where you're from, what your race, gender or sexuality is, paint your nails for just one day - 17 MAY 2015 - The International day against homophobia and transphobia. You can be as simple or creative as you want. It costs nothing to participate GET TOGETHER, PAINT YOUR NAILS & SHOW YOUR SUPPORT Invite your whole class, office, sports team, family and mates to do it with you. SHARE YOUR PHOTOS post pics of you wearing your nails in public on the event page or your instagram with the hashtag #NAILit4IDAHO Proudly an event in support of the International Day Against Homophobia, and Transphobia.
