You may be sitting at the office this afternoon wondering to yourself, could this Spring possibly get any better? This is a question many of us have pondered for generations, but there is great news ahead with the short answer being yes, this Spring can be elevated to the next level.
How can you accomplish this? By joining the MS is BS team on Saturday, May 16 from 4-7pm at Circa in Clarendon for a fundraising celebration to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis research. This June, the MS is BS team will be cycling 100 miles in an event called Bike the Vine to raise money and awareness for MS research. By joining us on Saturday and donating to our team, you will be assisting us in making an impact within the MS community.
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
This disease is particularly important to our team cycling in June. It has impacted our close friends of all ages, and we want to help make a difference. This includes one of our dear friends Lexi Franklin who has been an inspirational pillar within the MS community and has helped create this charity. Some of the MS is BS cycling team include:
We would love to see you on May 16 to raise awareness for this often-debilitating disease. There will be a raffle, drink specials, and good people. Some drink specials that have been arranged at Circa include $4 draft beers (excluding Guinness) and $6 house wines (Cabriolet and Pinot Grigio). At the conclusion of the event at Circa, we have arranged for additional drink discounts at Liberty Tavern in Clarendon for the remainder of the evening.
Raffle tickets can be purchased directly at the venue. There will be a host of items available, one of which is a $100 gift card for the Metropolitan Hospitality Group dining facilities, which includes Circa in Clarendon!
Whether you will be joining us on Saturday, May 16 or not, please consider donating to our team with the link below. Every dollar counts and it would mean a lot to us and our friends that suffer from MS.
Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
