MONICA KIDD’s previous literary works include two novels, a book of non-fiction, and two collections of poetry, Actualities and Handfuls of Bone. She has worked as a filmmaker, a seabird biologist and as a reporter for CBC Radio, where her documentaries won numerous awards. Kidd lives in Calgary, Alberta, where, as well as writing, she works as a medical doctor.
ELENA JOHNSON has been a finalist for the CBC Literary Awards, This Magazine’s Great Canadian Literary Hunt and the Alfred G. Bailey Poetry Prize. Her work has appeared in literary journals across Canada, as well as in four anthologies. She lives in Vancouver, and has worked as a park naturalist, field ecology researcher, editor and translator. Field Notes for the Alpine Tundra is her first published collection.
SEAN JOHNSTON’s latest novel is Listen All You Bullets. Recent books include We Don’t Listen to Them (short fiction) and The Ditch Was Lit Like This (poetry). He lives in Kelowna, BC, where he co-edits Ryga: A Journal of Provocations and teaches at Okanagan College.
