“The Art of War” is an exhibit that gives recognition to military poets and writers, and to use the power of words and images to educate the public about their experience.
Writing and visual art are a time-honored response to powerful life experiences. In this project, the writing of military men and women about their experiences of war in all of its facets provides the inspiration for local visual artists, who will make works in response to their words. These collaborations will result in creative, paired presentations which will be on display at the Beatnik Listening Lounge May 23 - June 6, 2015. The opening on May 23 includes a reading by the writers featured in this art show. This is a profound and heart felt exhibit not to be missed!
