17th May - Joanne Johnson & Nervous Nellies
Main Rally: Joanne Johnson - demonstration, lessons and special talk.
Who is Joanne Johnson?
The tiny town of Moora is filled with characters and some pretty amazing people - people like Joanne Johnson.
Joanne is one of those rare treasures that so often go undiscovered, an unassuming lady who has spent a significant portion of her life working with horses and has built up the most incredible repertoire of stories.
Her many amazing credits include riding trackwork at Newmarket in England, developing a private horse riding academy in Zimbabwe and competing in thoroughbred races in Papua New Guinea, not to mention the rare ability to ride (jump!) and teach side saddle.
Joanne has kindly agreed to come and share some of her knowledge and experience with our club. A side saddle demonstration and talk will be held over the lunch period, from 11.30 to 1.30.
NSRG is also excited to offer a limited number of one hour flat lessons in pairs over the day, starting at 9.30am.
Bookings for flat lessons are essential, and great value at $25 per rider. To book, please deposit funds to the account details provided, and Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your receipt, rider name, preferred time (not guaranteed but we will try), approximate level and some things you might like to work on. If you are unsure of your level, feel free to contact Jane Reid to discuss.
Fence sitters and guests for lunch are welcome, we will have our famous BBQ running of course!

NERVOUS NELLIES - a group created for riders / horses lacking a little confidence whether on the ground or in the saddle. Erin Gardiner and Matthew Walsh will part with their many years of experience to boost the confidence levels of horse and rider. All welcome to attend. Class numbers will be kept to a managable level, so more than one may be held on the day depending on numbers.
We are really excited about this concept, and look forward to meeting some new faces.
Nervous Nellies arrive by 10.00, settle your horses in with a walk around for a look, then a snack and a drink at the float, and meet at the clubrooms at 10.30 for a chat before getting started.
Any questions, email Craig Laker at the NSRG address - email@example.com.
Cost is just our standard $10 ground fee payable on the day.
If you aren't participating in either session, but you plan to bring your horse, the $10 ground fee also applies, payable on the day.
