The success of any project depends on clear communication. This session will help to discover and develop your strengths as an effective communicator. Many times when given a project the first thoughts and conversations consist of timelines, meeting schedules, budgets, even strategies. It is essential that a Project Manager/Leader take time to focus on communication in relation to each team member. Assessing communication styles early on in the task will prove to be valuable throughout the project, especially should impediments occur. This session will focus on the following: What is your communication style? Understanding communication styles of others Psychological reciprocity Reflective listening Unspoken communication Setting the stage for open communication SPEAKER Angie Garfield, born and raised in Omaha, knows her Midwest values are the foundation of her success. She truly enjoys speaking to audiences with a focus of delivering a message that is unique and thought provoking. Angie has over 35 successful years in the corporate world with a background in customer service, marketing, and management. With her corporate experience as well as entrepreneurial spirit, Angie has an abundance of information she that relates to her audiences using practicality, warmth and wit. Expertise – Angie’s expertise has been sought after for consulting both employees and management personnel seeking ways to communicate effectually to reach team and individual goals. One of Angie’s strongest skillsets is helping others to uncover their highest performance capabilities. She has had consistent success working with teams to identify and meet group objectives and goals. With 23 years of public speaking experience, Angie is a current member of the National Speakers Association. She is also a past member of Toastmasters International. Her participation in Toastmasters included; Area Governor of District 24 Toastmasters Omaha, Past Club President of local Toastmasters Club 455, past Toastmaster of the Year. Angie has presented to Senior Executives, International Professionals, and charitable organizations. She is also an active mentor/advisor to adult speakers.
