May's alumni letterman is Greenwave Hall of Famer and fellow "Greenie Gent", CARY LIVINGSTON (Tulane '72). Cary has a distinguished athletic career and we are so thrilled to welcome him to speak with us about his experience as a Greenie.
Cary prepped at West Jefferson High School and was drafted out of high school in 1968 by the San Francisco Giants in the 22nd round of the major league draft which he declined. He also declined an invitation by Bear Bryant to play running back at Alabama and chose to attend Tulane University where he became one of our all-time best players. Cary was the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1971 and 1972 and his Number 12 was retired by the Greenwave - the only student athlete to have a number retired. Cary was inducted into the Tulane Hall of Fame in 1985.
The cost to attend is $13 for Greenie Gals or undergraduate students; $18 for non-members or Greenie Gents.
