Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and much of the time very sick. I’m walking in the March for Babies because I want to help do something about this, and I need your help.
Please support my walk. Making a secure donation is easy; just go to marchofdimes.com and click on company teams. Look for Community Trust Bank Shreveport/Bossier, and sign up and join our walk on May 16th at Loyola College Prep (2550 Clyde Faint Parkway, Shreveport). It is a three mile walk starting at 10am and registration opens at 9am.
I am selling shirts for us to wear that day. The shirt are $13.50 for size S-XL and $16.00 for 2X and bigger. If you are interested in ordering a shirt the deadline is April 30th. Please email your size and how you would like to pay (email@example.com).
As most of you know this is personal to me; my little Rock Star Sophia was born twelve weeks early and spent fifty-five days in NICU. She weighed two pounds and nine ounces. She is now 4 months old and weighs seven and a half pounds. She’s growing like a weed and developing at a great pace. She still struggles with bottle feeds and learning from night and day but she will get better as she grows and gets bigger.
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature births and infant mortality. Your gift will support March of Dimes research and programs to help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
