DETAILS: 2015 HOUSTON MARCH AGAINST MONSANTO
On Saturday, May 23, 2015, Houston will stand in solidarity with tens of thousands of activists around the world for the “March Against Monsanto”. Monsanto is a bio-technology corporation, known for their biological weapons, highly controversial patents on seeds and the creation of the genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) in the world’s food supply. Currently, marches are being planned on six continents, in 36 countries, totaling events in over 250 cities, and in the US, events are slated to occur simultaneously at 1 PM Central Time in 47 states. The activists organizing the Houston event invite everyone who support this cause in Houston and surrounding areas to participate.
WHERE: Intersection of Westheimer & Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056
WHEN: SAT MAY 23, 2015 @ 12PM
PARKING: There is paid public parking at the Galleria mall and in the retail areas. Parking WILL BE PROBLEMATIC, especially for a Saturday in the Galleria area. Our advice is to either carpool, ride a bike or ride either buses 82 or 81, which go up and down Westheimer.
WEAR: Wear a red shirt! This is what other cities are doing too.. this emphasizes our solidarity visually, or if you have a shirt with a message -- ROCK IT!
BRING: Water, comfortable shoes, your awesome protest signs and lots of powerful energy!

-WELCOME MESSAGE FROM OUR HOUSTON EVENT LEADER, DEANDRE BELL -
Hello fellow MAMP's (March Against Monsanto Protesters)!
Thank you for taking the time to view the pages and being informed on this important issue. With us being such a large city, we have the opportunity to build a lot of awareness about Monsanto and GMO's. Our city needs your help in building awareness. Please invite as many people as you know. Last year, there were 1,500+ people out there. This year I want us to try and break 2,000 people. With social media being the most common and easy way to get the word out, please share the event and invite everyone you know.
