Manali, one of the most famous hill stations of India is nested in the northern end of Kullu Velly (Himachal Pradesh). Manali is also often referred to as the “Valley of the Gods”. The tourism in this small town received a boost after the rise of militancy in Kashmir in the late 1980s, before that the place was not so known to common people except mountaineers and adventure lovers.
Chanderkhani Pass in at an altitude of 12,200 feet and gives fabulous panoramic view of many snow clad mountains including Mt Deo Tibba. Trek to here is a good starter for high altitude trekking.
Day 01: Departure from Ahmedabad. Overnight train journey.
Day 02: Arrival at Pathankot and then upward journey to Manali by bus.
Day 03: Arrival at Manali Base Camp Site in the morning, free time for acclimatization and site seeing, briefing.
Day 04: Drive to Naggar, the heritage village and then trekking to Camp I - Rumsu Village (6 km).
Day 05: Trekking to Camp II - Chedupatthar (5 km), free time for acclimatization, camp fire.
Day 06: Early departure by trekking up to Chanderkhani Pass (6 km) and back to Camp II.
Day 07: Trekking to Camp I and then down to Naggar, drive to Manali base camp.
Day 08: Buffer day, adventure activities like Rock Climbing, Rappelling, River Crossing at the camp site
Day 09: Visiting the nearby tourist places and departure for Pathankot in the late night by bus.
Day 10: Arrival at Pathankot and move for Ahmedabad by train. Over night train journey.
Day 11: Arrival at Ahmedabad.
Fees: ₹8000/- per head
The fees includes food, travelling, accommodation, adventure activities, jungle entry fees, instructor and guide fees and all other expenses.
