A Trip To Unicorn Island
Lilly Singh - YouTube’s Superwoman returns to Australia for her first national comedy tour.
Lilly Singh, better known to her 5.4 million YouTube subscribers as “IISuperwomanII” will return to Australia in June 2015 for her first National comedy tour as she brings A Trip To Unicorn Island Tour down under. In a jam-packed night filled with laughter, music, dance, and plenty of surprises, Lilly will give you the inside scoop on how to navigate life’s turbulence by finding happiness and beauty in the world around you, and within yourself.
In the words of Lilly, “Unicorn Island is wherever you want it to be, whenever you want it there. It’s a place where it’s okay to be silly, dance in public, laugh out loud and hug strangers. It’s where our imaginations go to play and for that reason, anything is possible on the Island. Hate, ignorance and negativity don’t exist here. I mean, with the Cotton Candy bushes, Skittles Waterfall and Mushroom iPod Speakers, there’s just no room for anything crummy.”
Canadian Lilly Singh came to prominence in 2010 when her YouTube channel started to gather followers at a rapid rate and now has over 5 million YouTube subscribers and had more than 567 million combined views on her channel. Her comedic videos draw inspiration from her family, friends and everyday life. Also known as a rap artist and stand up comedian, Lilly’s videos reflect on her life as a young Canadian woman from Indian heritage (her parents are from Punjab, India) and the comedic side to life’s most normal activities. Her most popular videos include “How Girls Get Ready’, “Type of Kids at School” and “Parents Reacting to..” She often features (and herself plays) various characters in her videos, her most popular being those inspired by her Punjabi parents, “Paramjeet” and “Manjeet”, her strict, conservative father.
