Charity benefit gig in aid of LifeWorks NI - a non-profit organisation promoting mental and physical well-being in Belfast. VOODOO, BELFAST, FRIDAY MAY 29 XEROSUN (Dublin) SENTINEL DRAKONIS (Live Debut) SAFIRE DOORS 8pm, ADM £5. All proceeds to LifeWorks NI XEROSUN - (Dublin) - XEROSUN are a five piece metal band originating from Dublin, Ireland. Combining an eclectic mix of influences, XEROSUN produce a melodic, powerful, aggressive and above all, original sound. Crossing the boundaries of heavy music with soaring and passionate vocals, they have carved a place for themselves in modern metal. The band recently performed at another charity gig, Blazefest V, in the Empire Music Hall, garnering rave reviews from reviewers and fellow performers alike. SENTINEL - Long the days of old…There was heavy metal! It was a dark, sinister sound that laid siege to the ears of man and forever changed the world through a baptism of fire. Out of these flames soared bands such as Iron maiden and Black Sabbath who had their names cast in iron as the gods of metal. Now, in an age of snapbacks, swag and ultimately terrible music, comes a new contender. A brave band of metallic heroes who have made it their mission to climb the Mount Olympus of metal and join the gods in their unholy reign. They are Sentinel! DRAKONIS - Drakonis of Northern Ireland, blend a mixture of contemporary black and death metal, to create something without the limitations of one genre. Not wanting to work to a strict template, the band dips in and out of both styles to create music which is both atmospheric and uplifting, yet devastatingly brutal SAFIRE - Classic Rock band influenced by the 80s with a modern twist. SAFIRE is an N.Irish rock band founded in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim in 2013 by singer Saffron Gorman, guitarist Tim Torrens and drummer Cozy McAuley.
