A free, accessible, family friendly, sober picnic.
The idea for this picnic came from a discussion about the lack of family friendly and non-alcohol based LGBT events. Picnics are great because they're cheap and easy, with no age restrictions. Feel free to bring children with you :)
Please do not bring alcohol, I want this picnic to be as accessible as possible, and this means for people who don't drink too.
Hyde park has wheelchair access, a kid's play area, accessible toilets and wide pathways. More information can be found here: http://www.inclusivelondon.com/information/Hyde%20Park/421225/summary/information.aspx
I will be bringing blankets and some food, and arriving a bit early to set up. Any food, blankets, disposable cutlery or outside toys you bring with you will be gratefully accepted. Some of the food I bring will be vegetarian/vegan, and everything will be clearly labelled, if you have a special diet let me know in the comments.
A map of the park is here: https://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/hyde-park/map-of-hyde-park I plan to set up between the Knightsbridge and Hyde Park corner areas, close to toilets, the Serpentine and the play area.
If there's anything I've missed let me know, and feel free to invite people :)
