Come to a unique Ladies Who Lunch event back in time. It will be held at the Carleton Place Town Hall at noon. The traditional High Tea will be a mixture of tradition and the eclectic. Not only will there will be the joining and meeting of the women of Carleton Place, Ottawa, and Lanark County- there is more!
For the first time Ladies Who Lunch will be offering their guests a chance to visit two historic sites! After the tea you will have the option to visit our historic downtown or how how about a visit to our local Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum? The museum will have tarot readers to tell you your future-- joined with displays of memories of the past.
Next on the agenda, a tour of the founder of the town William Morphy's home Springside Hall (1867) will be offered ONLY to Ladies Who Lunch. Owned by former Ottawa retailer, Flash Cadilac's own Linda Seccaspina, this old limestone 22 room mansion was the former stage for the CBC Noreen Young's TV show High Diddle Day and is haunted by several ghosts. You will not believe your eyes!
Join our host Catherine Landry at the historic Carleton Place Town Hall June 6th! Remember Sir Wilfred Laurier spoke there once upon a time and the women who convened the event were only allowed to sit and watch as long as they remained silent!
An invitation to all the women of our area to come raise the roof in memory of those women that were silenced!
