REMEMBER TO RSVP TO KURILPAFUTURESGROUP@GMAIL.COM IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO ATTEND...
West End is changing rapidly. Major developments are planned for the Kurilpa Peninsula, and unless our community acts now to clearly articulate what kind of suburb we'd like to become, big decisions may be made without us. Come along on Sunday, May 17 to share ideas and give your input into issues such as:
- housing affordability
- culture and creative industries
- natural environment and green spaces
- commerce and local economies
- planning and high density developments
This isn't just about West End. The transformation of the Kurilpa Peninsula will have repercussions right across the inner-city.
Whether you're a long-time resident of 4101 or just an occasional visitor to Boundary Street or the Davies Park markets, we want to hear from you. You don't need to have any prior knowledge or expertise to get involved. This is your chance to help craft a detailed vision for the future of our suburb and our city.
Venue: Souths Leagues Club (in Davies Park), Jane Street, West End.
The day runs from 9:30am to 1:30pm and will include short presentations from a range of experts, roundtable discussions on key issues, and community voting on concrete proposals and future actions.
Free entry (obviously). All ages welcome. Visit kurilpafutures.org for more info.
If you know someone who cares about the future of South Brisbane, please invite them along.
