When: June Long Weekend, From Friday the 5th of June to Monday the 8th of June (or part thereof for those unable to make all 4 days).
Where: Burrabaroo, Porcupine Lane, Kootingal.
This campsite is approximately 12Km from Tamworth in Kootingal, this is about a a 5 hour drive from Sydney or 6.5 hour train, with services running once a day.
I will be catching the train from Hornsby (also goes through Central station) on Friday the 5th, travelling home on Monday the 8th.
People are welcome to join me on the train. When booking your ticket get a ticket to Kootingal Station as this is closer to the property than Tamworth.

Cost: $2!!! This pays for your badge ☺ Please bring a $2 coin with you to camp. The campsite committee has generously offered to cater for us for the weekend at no cost as a thank you for giving up our time to assist at the property from saturday morning (you may wish to pack some food for the trains or cars during transit) also bring some money along for dinner friday night. Dinner saturday night will likely be a roast with a BBQ for lunch, please complete the camp rego form with any specific dietary requirements.
Transport: Own. If you are catching the train, Let me know so we can meet up onboard and organise our pick up by the property committee at Kootingal station on arrival.
Accommodation: Indoor or outdoor. If camping outdoors, you will need to bring your own tent, sleeping mat and pillow. Remember warm clothes!! Average temperatures in this area in June range from 5- 20 degrees.

We will begin working on these projects at 9am Saturday morning and will continue on Sunday along with some exploration of town in between. Friday and Monday are reserved as travel days.
The committee at Burrabaroo has generously offered to cater for us for the weekend. Therefore you will not need to bring any food for this weekend.
For those arriving on Friday such as myself we will go to the local pub for dinner (walking distance to the campsite), please bring some money for this meal.
Bedding – sleeping bag and/or bed sheets, blanket, pillow case. Blankets provided.
Personal Gear – clothes (including old clothes and long sleeve shirt for painting), rain coat, jumper, hat, sunscreen, drink bottle, insect repellent)
Toiletries – there are hot showers for both indoor and outdoor camping
Warm clothes including a beanie!
