Keeping with our mission to train cavers in the leadership and skills necessary to promote best practices in caving safety and karst preservation, The Kentucky Karst Conservancy (KKC) is pleased to offer the first of a series of vertical class to be held in 2015. The KKC was the recipient of a generous grant from the Dogwood City Grotto to purchase gear specifically for the class. So if you are interested in vertical caving but have not bought gear yet this is the class for you! The class will be two days consisting of one day of instruction and practice at LV1 Hacker Space in East Louisville (Saturday, June 13) and a chance to test your new skills in the real world on (Sunday, June 14th )at Frenchman's Knob in Hart County Kentucky. This is a great 140 foot pit. There are four spots open for those who need gear and of course any one with gear can take the class. This class has a total of 8 spots available and is first come first serve. If you can’t make this class, there will be other classes later in the year. The cost is $25.00 per person for both days. All money goes to the Kentucky Karst Conservancy. Contact Ken Bailey at email@example.com.
