Kala Pravinya Yoga कला-प्रवीण्य
The words Kala Pravinya are Sanskrit for "artistic skill". The class connects the practitioner to a unique series of dynamic flowing vinyasa sequences followed by Yoga Nidra, a guided relaxation technique. It is designed to take the practitioner on an inward journey - cultivating openness, befriending one’s edge, and being with the self.
The Mission of Kala Pravinya Yoga is to promote cultural evolution by helping individuals become more fearlessly free, creative, and self-empowered with the intention to help ourselves and others make art of our/their lives. Included in this event is a guided activity to creating a sigil or a simple piece of art meaningful to the individual. The sigil acts as a vehicle towards desire manifestation, intended to use during the Yoga Nidra practice.

Instructor: Kristina Fleischer is proud to be among the first generation of RYTs graduated from Daniel Abbott’s teacher training, Kris is rooted in the style of Kala Pravinya Yoga. She believes there are locked doors in our minds, hearts, and bodies that we can open. It looks like we can’t. It feels like we can’t. But we can. Patanjali tells us in Book One of his Yoga Sutras, “If a river just flows easily, the water in the river does not express its power. But once you put an obstacle to the flow by constructing a dam, then you can see its strength in the form of tremendous electrical power.” Kris’ teaching goal is to use yoga as a porthole toward gaining the inner and outer strength necessary to unlock our doors, surge through, and create radiant waves. Kris also holds a B.A. in Dramatic Arts and a dual certification in Elementary (K-5) and Special Education. She also enjoys writing, wave gazing, resistance training, and the art of raising children. She is a happily married yogi mother of three with whom she loves engaging in art, chaos, yoga, and meditation practice.
