John Muir: Scottish. Born Dunbar 1838. Traveled widely about America’s wild west from California to Alaska. Persuaded President Roosevelt to declare Yosemite a National Park. Patron Saint of the Environmental Movement.
Rev Samuel Hall Young: American. Born Pennsylvania 1847. Superintendant of the Presbyterian Mission in Alaska. John Muir’s friend and fellow traveller. He tells his team of Huskies all about Muir’s great love for the wilderness. The Huskies think it’s a great story and so will you.
