Joey and the Waitress is an acoustic rock band from Leesburg, Virginia whose passion for creating timeless music is evident in live performances and in recording. The band's break-out CD, “Redemption," released in 2012 is a collection of heartfelt, personal songs, by lead singer and guitarist, Joseph "Joey” Bauer. Redemption has been described as a significant creative work that appeals to an eclectic and wide-ranging audience. Joey Bauer remains passionate about creating new music and performing with his band, whose regular line-up consists of Andrew Hart on keyboard, guitar and vocals; Kevin O'Neill on harmonica; David Saunders on bass and Juliana MacDowell on back-up and lead female vocals. Joey and The Waitress is "more than a group of musicians”, they are good friends. Each performance is a celebration - an honor and privilege. It is not enough to say that they enjoy what they do."
For Joey and The Waitress, the EVOLUTION of their band has been driven, from the beginning, by a sense of destiny and the feeling that their music matters. This group of exceptional musicians evolved from a simple prayer by Joey Bauer, asking for guidance - "one prayed on many occasions and now fully answered." The band's latest CD, "Come to California" (scheduled for release in mid-2015) is an album that continues to showcase Joey Bauer's gift for writing feel-good, mood-moving melodies. Come to California's deft instrumentation and mellow harmonies beckon audiences with a timeless appeal. Like its predecessor, this album's a keeper
