Mrs Jones' Kitchen in the Centre of Canterbury (see www.jiveswing.com for more details)
Licensed bar and beautiful wooden floor (and cake!).
Dust off those dancing shoes and head down to the Royal Engineers Museum for an evening full of energetic swing dancing in celebration of the Word Lindy Hop Day and as part of the annual Museums at Night festival. This evening looks to be an entertaining and fun night, appealing to dancers and non-dancers alike. Kick off the evening with a sensational lindy hop lesson led by ‘jiveswing.com’ instructors (Charlotte and James Maughan Jones - Jiveswing Canterbury) then dance the night away to the sound of the Roger Luxton’s Dance Band. Browse the in-house vintage market for those all-important vintage and retro clothes and accessories. Have your hair whipped up into a vintage style and finish of the look with vintage makeup. Pose for a vintage photography for a little memento. With a cocktail bar and other period refreshments, this event really is the highlight of the vintage calendar. Vintage attire is a must!
Times: lesson 19.00 with main entry at 20.00. Booking in advance is essential for both tickets.

This promises to be a spectacular night in a unique setting (imagine dancing next to a piece of the Berlin Wall, under a V2 bomb....yup, i'm not lying!), support this wonderful museum, who, without your support, could not continue to do what it does so well.
