Wainerdi Wellness Institute, 14080 S Main Street, Houston, TX 77035
Please join us the afternoon of May 29th in celebrating The Institute for Spirituality and Health’s 60th Anniversary as we host Dr. Lisa Miller, director of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University, for a presentation on her latest book The Spiritual Child: The New Science on Parenting for Health and Lifelong Thriving.
Dr. Miller is a leading scientist in spirituality and well-being research. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as JAMA-Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychiatry, and Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She has made appearances on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and The Today Show. Her latest book explores the foundational role that spirituality has in child and adolescent development. She presents the clear, scientific evidence that a developed spiritual life leads to flourishing – as well as the high costs associated with neglecting the spiritual needs in one's upbringing.
This event is free and open to all – clergy, parents, educators, students, scientists, youth leaders, and health professionals alike will find this of great value. The new Wainerdi Wellness Institute has graciously agreed to host us (14080 S Main Street, Houston, TX 77035). Registration begins at 2:30 PM and the event lasts until 4:30.
