IO EARTH & The Orchestra of Sound & Emotion!
As a band, IO Earth have always pushed the boundaries with their eclectic blend of music and emotion. This May, they will be pushing boundaries again when, to accompany the release of their widely anticipated third studio album, they will be presenting a live show unlike anything they have ever done before.
The show will consist of over 2 hours of music from their catalogue, played with some of the best musicians in the UK. This will be your chance to see, hear and feel IO Earth in way you never have before, as they perform as a 14 piece band dubbed "IO Earth & The Orchestra of Sound & Emotion".
Dave Says: “We decided to put on a show which is truly that ‘A SHOW’, we feel that people expect value for money and that's what we are trying to create. We want to make something really special.”
Adam Says: "The addition of more live strings and brass will augment the live sound in a way we never thought we would have a chance to hear. We can't wait to hear the results for ourselves, and sharing with you, our IO Earth Family will be a real honour."
Dave and Adam feel that they have really come a long way since their first gigs as IO Earth in late 2009, and they really want to show that in full at this landmark homecoming event in Birmingham, UK.
Adam: "Whether your favourites are the soft, airy songs like Smokey Wood and Drifting, the guitar-led melodies of The Creation and Moments, or the full on stonkers like Light & Shade, you will NOT go away unsatisfied."
Dave: "Every genre we cover and every song in the catalogue can benefit from being tweaked for this 14 piece band ... and some may be tweaked a little more than others."
This is an undertaking that they are not taking lightly by any means. The IO Earth band has been rehearsing tirelessly for months already and the string and horn arrangements will be worked and reworked until they're just right. This is an opportunity you simply cannot afford to miss ... and who knows, you may come away with a really rather special raffle prize ...
Book now to ensure you are front and centre! We can't wait to see you there.
