The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali outline step by step pathways to enlightenment. The most direct and precise way to samadhi is through chanting the mantra Om. In this workshop we will learn the history, stages, and proper pronunciation of this sacred mantra. Once the analytic mind is satisfied we will embody the power of Om and bath ourselves in an Om Mala, chanting this sound 108 times together. An incredible and potent experience, you will leave buzzing with light and collective love.
Please bring your own mala, if you do not own one the Bala Boutique will have some for sale. Wear comfortable loose clothing and feel free to bring water or tea.

Julia believes in the boundless power of self healing. She seeks to provide safe sacred spaces where ones own wisdom and intuition can shine. Through an empowering Vinyasa class, a mindful Yin practice, or simply being in the presence of love and laughter Julia strives to guide you to a greater understanding of self.
After her RYT-200 training at Yogalife Seattle in 2011, Julia was inspired to study Sanskrit, Ancient Indian Philosophical Literature, and different modalities of healing at the University of Washington. During her last year of schooling she traveled the world researching the relationship between trauma and integrative healing. This work led to a deep respect of vulnerability in the process of becoming a resilient warrior in the battlefield of life. It also solidified the importance of joy, laughter, and the transformative power of community in the healing journey.
She has additional certifications in Laughter Yoga, Yin Yoga, Reiki, and Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery through The Veterans Yoga Project. She currently teaches in the greater Seattle area as well as leads retreats around the world.
