The international professional rendezvous for all those involved in the cheese and dairy products sectors
The 2d edition of the International Cheese Tours Loire Valley, will be held in Tours, from 7th to 9th June 2015.
The International Cheese Tours, Loire Valley is the sole professional exhibition in France exclusively dedicated to cheeses and dairy products; it welcomes exhibitors and visitors from worldwide, in a very special place, with perfect logistics, the Vinci International Congress Centre.
Major event of the dairy sector, the International Cheese Tours Loire Valley, enables professionals from various countries to meet during three days and offers them a concrete overview of the market.
This exhibition benefits once again of Rodolphe Le Meuniers's advices, expertise and experience, (World Best Cheesemonger in 2007 and Best Cheesemonger of France) as well as of the partnership with key protagonists of the sector such as, the International Cheese Guild, the magazine “Profession fromager“, l'IEHCA and other institutional partners.
The exhibitors, producers, craftsmen, distributors, manufacturers… represent all the professions of the sector, from cheese production, packaging, equipment, to gourmet products etc. While visitors are mainly, retailers, dairymen, cheesemongers, delicatessen shops or supermarkets and importers…
These three days that will highlight cheese and dairy products, are a great opportunity to discover the know-how, the wealth and the creativity of the exhibitors. They also offer everyone the opportunity to participate in round tables and conferences, to update their knowledge of the trends, to exchange and to take a global view in order to anticipate the developments of the market and the consumers' desires.
The International Products Contest, reserved for exhibitors, gathers producers from all countries and can be for the visitors, an additional argument to make a selection and wise purchases. In 2015, several hundred products will compete again, expecting the decision of the professional judges to win the invaluable medals that they can show later in all the shop windows.
The World Contest of the Best Cheesemonger will take place, on Sunday, June 7th, as part of the International Cheese Tours Loire Valley.
This competition, which brings together a selection of candidates from many countries, is devoted to know-how and excellence. It involves knowledge of the products, through presentations and blind tastings, but also the sense of aesthetic, through the American service of cheese and the creation, on a compulsory theme, of a platter of cheeses, leading to an harmonious and innovative composition, combining the cheeses with the decoration ingredients chosen by competitors. This achievement is not only a presentation of cheeses, but also a masterpiece, combining forms and colours, a pleasure for eyes. All the tests are realized in an allotted time, and under the attentive and objective looks of the professional judges, which examine all the choices and the gestures of the candidates to the title.
For your information, in 2013, 10 candidates from 6 countries competed and the World Contest of the Best Cheesemonger has crowned the Japanese Miyuki Murase, followed by Pascal Fauville and Nathalie Vanhaver both from Belgium.

Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The International Cheese Tours is aimed exclusively at professionals and admission is free.
