Be a part of History!!! On May 19, 1925 Malcolm X was born. He was a fighter for freedom and equality through his roles as a Muslim Minister, and human rights activist. Just as so many get together to show love and honor Martin Luther King Jr., I felt that it was time to also get together, and recognize other black leaders in our history and the movement towards liberation and making the world a better place. We will be meeting at the Bandstand/Pavilion in City Park in Denver on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 at 10:00am. In honor of this incredible man, we will share a short meet and greet, speeches, poetry/spoken word, music, and most importantly UNITE! Performances by Local and Nationally known Poets and Musicians!! The unity in our community is needed now more than ever!! We are powerful as individuals, but never close to as powerful as we will be when we're together!! It's free of course! All you have to bring is your friends, family, blankets to sit on, food/snacks to eat, drinks, and an open mind! Come unite! Come build my beautiful black people!! Malcolm's life mattered!! BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!✊
