Join us to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia and Transphobia on Sunday May 17th.
Jointly organised by Liverpool Mental Health Consortium, Liverpool John Moores University and Unison, IDAHOT Liverpool will take place between 1pm and 4pm on May 17th at the LJMU Redmonds Building (Clarence Street) in Liverpool City Centre and aims to raise awareness of the violence, discrimination and repression directed at LGBTI individuals and communities worldwide and also showcase and celebrate the diversity and strength of our LGBTI community here in Liverpool.
LJMU Wellbeing Choir will open proceedings at 1pm, followed by a range of inspiring speakers from across our community here in Liverpool, including:
Andy Kerr (Liverpool LGBT Community Network), (Sophie Green (Liverpool Trans), Aderonke Apata and more TBC.
We are honoured to be joined by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Erica Kemp, who will formally open the event at 2pm.
A range of workshops and performances will take place across the afternoon. All are welcome to take part. Workshops will include:
Singing with Liverpool LGBT Community Choir, Pride At The Pictures and LGBT Communities and Social Media with more TBC.
We will also have performances from Liverpool LGBT Community Choir and Antoinette Egan.
Refreshments and buffet will be available throughout the afternoon.
