International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia - IDAHOT 2015
'Staying Safe on Social Media' - Anti-Bullying Forum
BYRON BAY YAC - Sunday 17th May - 1-5pm
We will be supporting ACON's Anti-Violence Project along with providing an opportunity to collectively amplify the message that what young people really do need to be protected from, is homo/trans/bi-phobia, though a FREE public forum, aimed at assisting people to address on-line bullying issues, how to stay safe on social media, what help is out there and where to go for help, if you are experiencing on-line bullying or violence.
Our target groups will be young people aged 12-24 in particular, their parents, youth workers and community workers and the LGBTI communities in general.
The Forum will be held at the Byron YAC (Youth Activities Centre) on Sunday May 17th, from 1pm til 5pm and will be a free entry event.
