“Home is a place where you can breathe and paint.”
I Saw You in My Dreams is an exhibition of portrait paintings that challenges the definition of homeland and identity. The artist, Bassim Alshaker, was born in Baghdad, Iraq. He is the first Middle Eastern artist who joined ASU Art Museum’s international artist residency in July 2013. Alshaker's work is exhibited in the Venice Biennale 2013 and featured in The New York Times.
Khairy, Bassim's friend, will also contribute to this show.
