HOUSE CONCERT WITH PANDORA SCOOTER AND THE SAWTELLES
Spoken Word Artist Pandora Scooter will wow us with her one-person show "HOMO-sapienism!" which speaks of what it is to live OUT, LOUD and PROUD. In this concert show, Pandora performs powerful and hilarious pieces about coming out and living out.
Opening for Pandora will be The Sawtelles. This husband and wife duo will play unplugged for this special show. Their self-titled debut (subtitled “yellow”) has been described as an exercise in minimalistic DIY that produces a refreshingly sparse, indie sound that subtlety runs much deeper when examined more closely.
Pandora's piece will dazzle you with its outness and will comfort you with its sense of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community. And, the combination with our musical allies, Peter and Julie, will create an evening of unity and harmony.
All are welcome to the house concert! Joanne and Constance hope you come!

Pandora Scooter entertains, inspires and makes people laugh 'til it hurts. Pandora is also an unyielding advocate for peace amongst all people and carries this message throughout her work - both the hilarious and the sober. Pandora is pro-people, in all their glorious individualizations. She speaks fluidly and lucidly on behalf of misfits and 'fits,' of all walks and talks. Her hilarious spoken-word rhymes and rants thrill and inspire audiences.
Husband and wife duo the Sawtelles are a balance of four elements, alternate-tuned guitar, stand-up drum kit and two voices. Sparse but intricately arranged pop that is as lush as it is threadbare makes what is played as important as what isn’t. Their strict DYI philosophy aligns them more with the hand painted Sun Ra LP’s of 1950’s and 60’s then it does with those striving for mainstream commercial success.
