Holley Sherwood, Soprano
Holley is very excited to be performing at the Tavern of Fine Arts again! Holley spent 2014-2015 as one of Winter Opera St. Louis’ first Resident Artists, performing in almost all productions including the role of Star in “The Wise Women.” She currently is a full member of the St. Louis Chamber Chorus in addition to being the Soprano II Section Leader and a soloist at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ladue. For two years, Holley was a Principal Singer and soloist with Masterworks Chorale and a part of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus. She can be heard on the two most recent CDs recorded by the St. Louis Chamber Chorus, the St. Peter’s Choir CD just released by Regent Records, and will be heard on a Christmas album featuring Dr. Stephen Mager’s compositions and another St. Louis Chamber Chorus album, both to be released later in 2015. Holley holds a B.M. in Music Theory from Furman University where she studied piano, voice, organ, choral conducting, and composition. Holley also moonlights as a wife and is studying to be an actuary.
