Three local civic groups: Doors2Change, Main Street Bartow and the Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce, have partnered to present the first Historic Bartow Bluegrass and Gospel Heritage Festival set for Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Bartow.
The new family event will focus on live traditional Southern Bluegrass and Gospel music, both reflective of history and traditional culture. Dancers will perform featuring clogging by award-winning locals. The event will also include Main Street Bartow’s Antique Fair, art and craft vendors, kids’ activities and special cultural and heritage exhibits at the Polk County History Center and Bartow’s African American Heritage Museum.
