Join us as we head out to the farm on Saturday May 23 for the next class in our "food for thought" series. Master gardener and herbalist Pam Nash will lead us through the exciting world of herbs. Pam will show us what herbs look like, talk about their culinary specificities, tell us how to plant them, and share lots of varied and astonishing facts about herbs both medicinal and culinary.
And we'll be sure to leave time for you to meander through our herb and vegetable gardens, check out the berry patch and the hen house while you're here. We'll also provide a light lunch
Herbs not only improve the taste of foods, but can help preserve them for longer periods of time. They have antibacterial and antiviral properties and contain disease fighting antioxidants, essential for a healthy immune system. Their appearance and varied use is bound to surprise you.
Cost is $15 and will include lunch on the grounds.
