After having a few months off to recuperate after our two part birthday extravaganza in February, we are back at the mighty Techno palace that is HOPE WORKS on FRIDAY 12th June.
To headline this show we could think of no one better than techno legend and good ol' northern boy, PAUL WOOLFORD.
With releases on Carl Craig's Planet E, Scuba's Hotflush Recordings, London's Phonica label he constantly pushes the boundaries of house and techno. He regularly plays sets at places like Panorama bar, Fabric and Space Ibiza so we are in for something rather special in the intimate Hope Works surroundings.
Our second act is one of the biggest break through acts of the last year, DAN SHAKE. After simply handing a mixtape over the decks to Kenny Dixon Jr. at Dimensions festival, Dan Shake found himself being the first artist not from Detroit to be released on Moodymann's, Mahogani Music, which pretty much sums it up really. Then on top of that he is getting support from the likes of king tastemaker, Gilles Peterson. A purveyor of smooth, soul drenched house and disco his sets effortlessly flit between these genres and beyond. Suffice to say, we are rather excited.
As it's summer and all we thought it only sensible to make use of the one month a year where it's actually acceptable to be outside so we are throwing a sexy DAY PARTY in the Hope Works great outdoors from 6pm, before moving everything inside for the main event from midnight.
