Have you ever wondered what people with Diabetes in the wilds of Aberdeen City and Shire look like? Whether they also enjoy a good vintage Jelly Baby to treat lows? How they manage diabetes during exercise or if they also get eaten alive by midges in summer? Well, wonder no more!
Although we've been slow getting going, there are a number of meet-ups scheduled and we hope you can make it along to one, if not all, of them!
Wednesday 15 April 2015 - 8 p.m. Starbucks at Union Square
Saturday 16 May 2015 - 5 p.m. at 6 Degrees North (Little John Street)
Thursday 11 June 2015 - to be decided
Wednesday 8 July 2015 - to be decided
This community group is aimed at adults with type 1 diabetes; whether you and your diabetes live the settled life of an old married couple, or are still newlyweds on honeymoon!
PS Other initiatives are starting up, so if you don't fall in our target group, please don't despair. You can find out more about these by attending one of the following meetings: Wednesday 22 April 2015 (at 7.30 p.m.) or Saturday 25 April 2015 (at 10 a.m.); both at ST MARK’S CHURCH OF SCOTLAND HALL, ROSEMOUNT VIADUCT, ABERDEEN. AB25 1JY. And of course, we'll keep you informed of these new initiatives too.
