Gayle Stewart was an incredible pistol of a woman who touched everyone who met her. Whether they grew up with her, met her at XO, or crossed paths on the road, there's no question that she was always a unique and special person.
In the wake of her passing on May 4th, we held a small memorial and reception in Seattle. We know so many of you would have wanted to be there to say goodbye and to remember and honor her, and so we're holding a reception at Mallard Lake Forest Preserve near Hanover Park, Illinois for all to come.
We'll provide a light lunch with sandwiches, salads, and sodas. Alcohol is not permitted on park grounds, so if you please, be discreet. Bring along an acoustic instrument and prep your voice for some fun jams.
There's plenty of parking. We can also pick you up from the Hanover Park Metra station. We'll be in the picnic shelter. Come on by anytime between 11 and 4.
If you plan to come by, please RSVP yes to this event, or call or text by 5/25 so we can get enough food to go around.
Also, if you have any questions, get turned around on the way there, or need to be picked up at the train station, please contact me.
Thank you everyone, and we look forward to seeing you and celebrating Gayle's life with you.
