As many of you know both of our boys have been diagnosed with life threatening food allergies. What many probably don't know is that this is not a fad diet or case of picky eaters...they carry epi pens to prevent severe anaphylaxis should they come into contact with those foods to help save their lives until emergency services can come to their aide. The number of affected children and adults is growing quite rapidly and it's definitely something that parents, caregivers, and educators should be informed about and know how to respond in an emergency situation. Please come listen to our open discussion with professionals and parents about this topic. May is food allergy awareness month, get your schools and PTO's involved in making a safe place for all of our children.
