Kids and families (ages 5 and up) are invited to join us for a fun day of rock climbing for the whole family.
The guides from Ascent Climbing (@[NjQyMTgzOTU5MjA4MTA3Omh0dHBcYS8vYXNjZW50Y2xpbWJpbmcubmV0Lzo6:http://ascentclimbing.net]) will coach climbers on a variety of climbs appropriate for kids and adults. No experience is necessary. Climbing equipment including harnesses, climbing shoes and helmets will be provided.
What to Bring: Participants should wear weather appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes for hiking and bring a small day with snacks, water jacket, sunscreen, bugs pray and any medications.
Location: Chatfield Hollow State Park
Registration: $5ea - participants will receive a Denali / Trailblazer gift card for $10 plus some other fun goodies and giveaways.
Hiking Difficulty: Moderate
Mileage: About 1 mile round trip
Climbing Difficulty: Beginner and kid friendly climbing terrain, routes from 5.2 to 5.8 (YDS)
Est duration/End Time: 4 hours
Trail details: Expect an easy to moderate difficulty hike (about 20 minutes, each way) back to the climbing area. Wear closed toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring some snacks and a full water bottle in your daypack.

We'll meet at the first dirt parking lot (free parking) on the left immediately after pulling into the park from Route 80. If you pass the small entrance guard booth you've gone too far.
Look for the Denali Outdoor signs directing you to the meetup location.
