This diesel powered excursion train takes you through some of the more scenic locations for railroading in Pennsylvania. In a compact 12.6 miles, you experience downtown industries, a college campus, a tunnel, two reservoirs, some wildlands and farmlands.
A 55-minute stop in the Borough of Moscow allows you time to explore the preserved railroad stations and view the train preparing for the return to Scranton.
The Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway Historical Society is raising funds for the restoration of Steamtown's Boston & Maine RR 3713 steam locomotive. Souvenirs and refreshments are available for purchase.
Costs for tickets:
$24.00 for adults
$22.00 for seniors, aged 62+
$17.00 for children, ages 6-15.
No cost for children age 5 and under. Ticket required.
