This day-long diesel-powered excursion takes you over the Pocono plateau to the borough of East Stroudsburg, PA. The train arrives in the center of town. You may explore the restored wooden switch tower or the historic Dansbury train station. Food and shopping are closeby.
An historic program on the effects of Hurricane Diane in 1955 and how the railroad and the Poconos recovered will be presented at the Dansbury Depot station.
Plans are in the works for an antique car show also.
Costs for tickets:
$54.00 for adults
$49.00 for seniors, aged 62+
$32.00 for children, ages 6-15.
No cost for children age 5 and under. Ticket required.
